What is held when you list (per unit)
Listing escrow = establishing $1.10 only. Multiply by quantity when you list more than one unit. Sell orders stay free to list.
- Example quantity 1: $1.10 held
- Example quantity 3: $3.30 held
- Establishing $1.10 = $1.00 site + $0.10 market owner
Only your wallet balance can fund a buy order - incoming escrow from other deals cannot be used.
When a contract opens
Matching uses the current contract price. The buyer then pays the order price plus the management fee (tiered by price, with minimums). The $1.10 held at listing is applied toward the total. The seller is not charged to list or to open from a match.
- If the buyer cannot cover price + calculated management fee when matched, that match is skipped and the buy order stays listed with its $1.10 hold.
- The platform/owner split (site vs market owner) still applies inside the management fee where relevant.
While the order is listed
The $1.10 hold is not spendable for other buys, new contracts, or withdrawals until the order is cancelled or matched.
When funds return or move
- Cancel the buy order - the $1.10 hold returns to your wallet immediately.
- The order matches into a contract - establishing fee moves with the deal; price and 1.1% charge from wallet at open. See fee refunds and matching orders into contracts.
Market requirements
Listing a buy order means you accept this market's requirements and will not ask sellers for extra requirements outside those listed. See mandatory market requirements.
