Establishing fee is $1.10 per contract:
- $1.00 to Up-YourLife (site share)
- $0.10 to the market owner, credited to their balance immediately when the contract opens
Escrow
A fixed $1.10 platform fee. The buyer pays it once - when placing a buy order, or when opening a contract against a sell (or a direct open). Sellers who match a funded buy do not pay establishing again.
Establishing fee is $1.10 per contract:
Only the buyer pays establishing. Timing depends on how the deal starts:
Click-open uses the order owner's listed price. Auto-match uses the mid of the best active buy and best active sell. Both paths wait for accept before messaging unlocks.
While a match is pending, Messages shows one panel in the chat room: price, short opening rules with icons, Accept / Not available / Prefer not this person, and links to Help and FAQ. There is no second System bubble or locked-chat placeholder for that same decision. After both sides accept, normal chat resumes.
Opening rules post once in the thread (including self-deals where you are buyer and seller): Up-YourLife does not push only our escrow; the listed contract price stays fixed (report price-change asks); accept only if you are available now (fake availability that sinks the deal can permanently block you); establishing may still be refundable for the buyer if we prove the other side broke the rules; once either side shares contact info, establishing cannot be refunded - wait until the deal can succeed before sharing contacts. The same rules text is never repeated as a second System bubble.
Until either side shares contact info, the fee payer may request a refund of the $1.00 site share. Admins review chat history. If contact was already shared, we cannot refund. Abuse - including accepting while unavailable - can lead to a permanent block. See fee refunds.

Auto-match proposes a mid-price deal as soon as buy price is at or above sell (e.g. buy $8 and sell $5 → mid $6.50). Both sides must accept within 3 days before messaging starts. Buy listing already holds $1.10; the buyer still needs wallet balance for price + 1.1% when Accept finishes the open - if short, we notify them to deposit and rematch after funding. Click Open contract also waits for the other side: buyer vs sell pays $1.10 now and waits for the seller; seller vs buy pays $0 and waits for the buyer. Miss the 3-day window and the non-responder's order is removed as unavailable. Decline as unavailable (your order is removed) or prefer not this person (orders stay; that pair skips auto-match).
