Create a request, offer, or connect offer

Choose a type above the form. The fields stay on one page.

Choose a post type

  • Request: describe work you need done.
  • Provide Offer: describe work you can do.
  • Connect Offer: describe an introduction you can make.

Add a referral link

Paste someone else's Up-YourLife referral link in the Referral link field at the top of the post form. The link is checked before saving. Your own, unknown, or already-used referral link cannot be applied.

Edit a saved draft

Open the Draft from your profile to edit all details on one page. Save draft to keep it private, or Publish when it is ready. Changing work relationship choices replaces the previous choices; clear every choice to remove them.

Edit an open post

Saving changes keeps the post open and retains its previous version for review. Existing proposals and accepted contract terms are not changed. Review material changes with anyone who has already responded.

Remove or archive a post

Pause hides a post temporarily; you can resume it. Removetakes it out of public access and asks for a reason that affected people can see. Pending proposals and unaccepted offers close. Accepted contracts, payment and referral history, and required records remain. Archive hides a post from discovery without changing its proposals or contracts.

Save or publish

A saved draft stays on your account, is not searchable, and does not notify applicants. Return to edit it or publish it when ready. Publishing makes an eligible post visible on the marketplace.

Publishing requires a complete title, category and skills, description, budget, timeline, and location. A draft can be saved with optional details still blank.

Category and skill data

Some occupational terms are based on the O*NET 31.0 Database by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration, used under the CC BY 4.0 license. Up-YourLife has normalized and adapted these terms and added marketplace and technology specialties. The U.S. Department of Labor has not approved or endorsed these changes.
